Job description

Flo is on a mission to switch as many people as possible to affordable renewable solutions. After rapidly growing from 40 to 140 employees in the past 1.5 years, we are just getting started. We know that great companies are built on great people, and as our People and Culture Specialist, you will help shape an environment where our team feels supported, valued, and excited for what’s ahead.

At Flo, P&C is about creating a thriving, inclusive workplace, solving challenges proactively, and ensuring everyone feels heard. We have a diverse team with 15+ nationalities, where you can truly be yourself. You will work closely with the Head of People and Culture to be the go-to people advisor on HR matters, drive impactful initiatives, while also taking ownership of key projects. If you are proactive, ambitious, and ready to make a difference, we want you to help us build a supportive culture and establish Flo as the go-to employer in Singapore and Australia.

About Flo
Hi, we’re Flo, and we are on a mission to switch as many people and businesses as possible to clean, renewable energy. We do that by making clean energy as affordable as conventional energy, investing deeply in technology to provide a delightful product experience to our customers and keep our cost structure low so that the savings can be passed back to our customers. And yes, it’s possible!

We are pushing boundaries and breaking conventions of the traditional power industry. To do so, we are looking for folks who share our passion for technology, sustainability & people. You might be the one we are looking for :)

What You Will Be Doing
You will be supporting and advising our Operations, Business and Technology teams, helping them navigate the day-to-day challenges of leading teams in a fast-growing company. This is a regional role, covering Singapore and Australia. If you have deep and extensive knowledge of labour laws, performance management, advising and coaching managers, and like a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on support, we would love to meet you!

  • Be the trusted P&C partner for managers – Whether it is assisting with performance conversations/cases, advising on labour laws, or helping build stronger teams, you will be their go-to person for all things people-related. You will support team leads and managers (approx. 25, and growing) in driving high performance and employee engagement, ensuring they have the tools and guidance to succeed.
  • Lead employee relations and support key moments – Take charge of complex employee relations matters, integrating cultural values, handling conflict resolution, grievances, and disputes. From promotions to difficult decisions, you will provide guidance and clarity during critical moments in employees' careers, while continuously supporting the development of our teams.
  • Ensure smooth operations – Oversee People policies and practices in day-to-day operations to ensure they are not only compliant but also effective, keeping things running smoothly for our people.
  • Support growth and development – Partner with teams and the Head of P&C to ensure career growth is more than just a buzzword. You will make it a tangible experience for everyone, fostering a culture of continuous development.
  • Drive employee engagement – Own our employee engagement surveys, collaborating with teams on outcomes and action plans to ensure they lead to actionable and meaningful improvements, not just reports sitting on a shelf.
  • Drive innovation in P&C – Stay ahead of trends, identify areas for improvement that support our teams and company goals, and assist in the implementation of new HR tools and systems to enhance the employee experience, making Flo a great place to work.
  • Support the team – As part of our small but mighty team, you are motivated to step in when needed—whether it's covering People Operations, Office operations, or Recruitment.

You Will Be a Good Candidate If You

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar advisory role (e.g., HR Business Partner, HR Advisor) with proven expertise in implementing People processes, guiding managers, and driving projects independently.
  • Strong business partnering skills – With the ability to offer advice, coaching, and practical support to managers and team leads on a daily basis. Strong/Fluent English is a must, ensuring clear and effective interactions.
  • Experience and excellence in managing P&C projects – You have successfully led initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement, and culture-building programs that make a real impact. You can juggle multiple tasks with ease, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Proactive and growth-focused mindset – You are results-driven, with the ability to communicate effectively and inspire behavior change across all levels of the organization. You spot opportunities and take initiative, knowing when to take charge and when to ask for support.
  • Passion for employee engagement – You empower employees at all levels, setting the example in providing constructive feedback and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment.
  • High standard of professionalism and confidentiality – You handle sensitive people cases with integrity and care, maintaining confidentiality while navigating complex situations.
  • Strong alignment with Flo’s mission – You understand and resonate with our business and mission, and are passionate about contributing to our growth.

Extra Points If You

  • Have experience within a scale-up environment, so know the drill of ever-changing cultures and business needs.
  • Have international and especially APAC experience with working knowledge of labour laws and cultural awareness.
  • Are tech-savvy!

If you are passionate about people, love driving positive change, and want to be part of a team that’s committed to making a difference, we would love to hear from you!

Culture And Benefits

  • Shape the future of Flo – Get involved in our P&C strategy from the ground up and help drive our growth and innovation.
  • Work with a passionate, collaborative team – You will be part of a team that values enthusiasm, creativity, and open communication.
  • Continuous learning and growth – We believe in never stopping the learning process. Take advantage of our professional development budget to grow your skills and advance your career. With our rapid growth, there are plenty of opportunities to grow with us and take on new challenges.
  • Stay healthy and energized – Enjoy monthly fitness reimbursements, access to our well-being platform, and activities to keep you feeling your best. We offer a hybrid work setup, with 4 days a week in our lively Singapore office for this role.
