Role Overview

We process a significant volume of transactions annually, requiring a meticulous approach to payment operations. The Payment Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth payment processing, managing reconciliations, optimizing payment workflows, and building strong relationships with multiple payment processors to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payment Processing & Management
    • Oversee day-to-day payment operations, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing.
    • Work closely with payment service providers (PSPs) to optimize payment flows and reduce transaction failures.
    • Monitor payment trends, fees, and chargebacks, taking proactive measures to improve efficiency.
  • Reconciliation & Financial Controls
    • Handle the reconciliation of incoming and outgoing payments across multiple payment processors.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and matched with internal records.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial statements and payment reports.
  • Relationship Management with Payment Providers
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with different payment processors, negotiating better terms and resolving disputes.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payment regulations that may affect operations.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify areas for payment improvement and implement it with tech teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3+ years in payment operations, finance, or treasury roles, preferably in tech, SaaS, or consulting industries.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting. Experience with PSPs like Stripe, Payoneer, PayPal, or local alternatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in handling large transaction volumes.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing partnerships with payment processors.
