Part-Time Lecturer for IE4728 - Enterprise Network Design

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-time Lecturer for IE4728 - Enterprise Network Design. The Part-time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate course commencing in January 2025.

This 13-week course is a specialized area in computer and intelligent systems. Year 3 students who are in Major Prescribed Electives and Final year students can choose to take this Design Elective.

This course aims to provide knowledge for designing, setting up, and managing an IP-based enterprise network. Students will acquire necessary practical skills in planning and configuring an IP network in a simulated environment and validating the operations of the network.

Students will participate in hands-on lab sessions, creating the network and access control lists using Packet Tracer network simulator, as well as IPv4 network setup and IPv6 tunneling.

Successful candidates will have a Masters and/or PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and past teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Preference will be given to candidates who have a background in IP addressing and subnetting; IPv4; IPv6 tunneling schemes; access control lists; and network design.

The successful candidate is expected to assume duty in January 2025.
