Part-Time Lecturer for EE4533 Power Apparatus And System Protection

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-Time Lecturer for Power Apparatus and System Protection. The Part-time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate elective course commencing in January 2025.

This 13-week course is a final year level course for Year 4 undergraduates aimed at teaching students about power system apparatus and their protection. In particular, students will learn about various high voltage power apparatus, their maintenance and condition monitoring, transients in power systems, as well as fault analysis and protection of the power apparatus. This knowledge will support them in their work as engineers under the direction of authorized personnel to test HV apparatus and carry out operation, maintenance work, and protection design for HV equipment.

The successful candidate should have at least a Master's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field. Past teaching experience in a similar subject at the undergraduate level is preferred.

The successful candidate is expected to assume duty in January 2025.
