Part-Time Lecturer for EE6406 Analytic & Ensemble Learning
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-Time Lecturer for EE6406 Analytic & Ensemble Learning. The Part-Time Lecturer is expected to teach this postgraduate course commencing in January 2025.
This 13-week course serves as a General Elective and will be offered to students taking NTU EEE MSc Communications Engineering, Computer Control & Automation, Electronics, Power Engineering, and Signal Processing & Machine Learning. The objective is to impart knowledge relevant to essential techniques such as regression, classification, kernel methods, and advanced ensemble methods like Random Forest, AdaBoost, XGBoost, and LightGBM. Students will gain hands-on experience with industry-relevant tools through practical coding exercises and explore reinforcement learning and its connection with ensemble methods. The interactive structure includes lectures, topical discussions, and coding exercises, preparing students to tackle complex engineering problems in both academic and industrial settings.
The successful candidate should have extensive relevant industry experience and/or at least a PhD degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and a passion for teaching. Past teaching experience in a similar subject at the postgraduate level (for EE6406) is preferred.
The successful candidate is expected to assume duty in January 2025 and is able to commit at least 5 months (1 semester) to this position.
