Job description

Responsibilities

  • Assist and manage Safety / Workplace Safety & Health matters in Companies.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and regular review of all workplace safety and health matters.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure all site activities comply with MOM safety requirements and that all workers adhere to safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory acts & regulations, company safety rules & regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Support the implementation of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments and RA registers for sites are updated and reviewed annually.
  • Act as Fire Safety Manager and ensure functional emergency response.
  • Manage sub-contractors' safety procedures and ensure compliance with the organization's Health and Safety standards, policies, and practices.
  • Prepare and conduct WSH Induction Programs for all new employees and periodic WSH training for existing employees.
  • Maintain FSM, HSE licenses, and related certificates.
  • Plan, coordinate, and assist in Internal & External Safety and Health audits (ISO 9001/14001/45001/etc.).
  • Ensure all safety-related equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
  • Maintain compliance with SCDF Fire Safety Act and ensure all fire risks are eliminated to maintain SCDF Fire Certificate.
  • Coordinate Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) drills and maintain emergency response equipment.
  • Investigate, analyze, and determine the cause of any incident, accident, or dangerous occurrence during work processes and recommend means of preventing recurrence; prepare Incident Reports.
  • Prepare monthly reports on Safety and Health.
  • Verify and report any safety infringements and incidents/accidents to the Company in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Must be a MOM Registered WSH Officer with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Familiarity with OSH / ISO documentation.
  • Diploma in Environment Health and Safety or other relevant subjects.
  • Possess good communication skills.
  • Part-time position - 2 days work week.
