An Oscar's Cafe & Terrace Captain with Conrad Hotels and Resorts is required to exercise their skills to ensure that all guests receive an excellent Guest and Member experience and is responsible for the proper functioning of the assigned section while working to achieve departmental targets.
What will I be doing?
An Oscar's Cafe & Terrace Captain would be required to supervise a team of Waiters/Junior Captains in the assigned station to ensure that services rendered to guests in the outlet are in accordance with the brand standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Able to work in all areas of the respective outlet/restaurant of Food and Beverage
- Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
- Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service
- Assist to prepare set ups for tables and/or rooms
- Check all team members' tasks and utility to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, bar, and service
- Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues or challenges
- Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform any assigned administrative tasks such as requisitions, operating equipment control, and monitoring inventory
- Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner
- Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
- Ensure compliance with brand standards
- Ensure cleanliness of work areas
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
- Comply with local licensing laws
- Be environmentally aware
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Perform any other duties as assigned
