Main Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the logistics operations to achieve the operations key performance index and the required service standards.
Develop operational performance, financial goals, and growth plans through effective solutions development.
Define roles and responsibilities, plan for the department's future needs and operations; counsel employees on performance.
Work collaboratively with client and departmental staff to assure operational effectiveness, adherence to policies and procedures, and maximization of flow of all incoming and outgoing material.
Supervise and develop staff and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Ensure information/knowledge resources can be readily accessed and easily retrieved.
Manage quality system and continuous process improvement within the facility.
Define requirements for operation and ensure the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed requirements and customer expectations.
Implement and monitor improvement programs in cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, and best practices across operations through Lean Warehousing System.
Administer and communicate company policies.
Regularly review performance expectations with leadership team, providing expectations, performance planning, and feedback to team members.
Be responsible for training & development and performance discussions with staff.
Maintain good working relationships with customers.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics operations management providing overall direction, implementation, and continuous improvement in all phases of logistics solutions.
Good working knowledge of the following operations areas – domestic distribution, warehouse management, inventory planning, transportation management, and logistics execution systems.
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience in the logistics field.
