Operations Project Manager (Brokerage) - Ethel T.

Our client, a leading brokerage firm is seeking an experienced Operations Project Manager

Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage end-to-end projects across trade processing, settlements, clearing, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
2. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with key stakeholders.
3. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk assessments, and progress reports.
4. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Identify inefficiencies in brokerage operations workflows and propose solutions for automation and process improvements.
6. Work closely with IT, vendors, and internal teams to implement technology upgrades and system enhancements.
7. Drive standardization of operational procedures and best practices across teams.
8. Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and IT teams to ensure smooth project execution.
9. Communicate project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
10. Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to mitigate risks and enhance control frameworks.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
2. 5-8 years of experience in brokerage operations, project management, or operational transformation.
3. Strong knowledge of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial products.
4. Experience in leading cross-functional projects within a brokerage or financial institution.
5. Knowledge of trade lifecycle, clearing, settlements, and post-trade operations.
