Position Summary

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for operational excellence and client engagement? Join our senior leadership team as an Operations Director, Singapore.

Reporting to the Asia Chief Operating Officer and responsible to the Managing Director, the Operations Director is a member of the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities

  1. Partner with Business Line Heads to drive operational excellence and budget performance.
  2. Manage the operational structure, including support functions like commercial, legal, finance, HR, quality, and compliance.
  3. Implement action plans to achieve top-tier operational, Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ), and budget performance.
  4. Engage directly with key clients, building strong relationships and adding value to projects.
  5. Develop and execute plans for digital innovation, standardization, and process improvement.
  6. Lead bid strategies for high-risk prospects, leveraging market and competitor insights.
  7. Foster a culture of operational excellence and share best practices.
  8. Oversee budget preparation and delivery, aiming for stretch targets, with key shared metrics being Net Revenue, Operating Margin, Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  9. Analyze major project performance and develop intervention strategies.
  10. Chair monthly and quarterly performance reviews and provide support to the Head of Department in reporting.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience in a relevant industry, consultancy, or client organization is beneficial but not essential.
  3. Strong understanding of the Asian market and business landscape.
  4. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  5. Proven skills in managing clients and teams, developing and maintaining excellent relationships.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong leadership abilities focused on people management, accountability, and succession planning.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and willingness to travel within Asia as required.
