Job Description: Construction Site Project Manager

Position Overview:The Construction Site Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and addressing any challenges that arise on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  2. Team Management:Supervise construction crews and subcontractors.
    Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project progress and address issues.
  3. Quality Control:Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
    Conduct inspections and oversee testing of materials.
  4. Budget Management:Monitor project expenditures and manage cost estimates.
    Prepare and present reports on project status to stakeholders.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
    Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies.
  6. Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    Address and resolve any disputes or conflicts on-site.
  7. Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
    Facilitate effective communication among all parties involved in the project.
  8. Documentation:Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, contracts, and change orders.
    Prepare and submit progress reports and updates as required.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry (typically 5+ years).
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Budgeting and financial management skills.

Certifications (optional but beneficial):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • OSHA safety certification.
