Operation Executive

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and coordinate all operational activities related to tanker operations, ensuring that vessels are dispatched, loaded, and unloaded in accordance with schedules and contractual agreements.
2. Ensure full adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices to mitigate risks associated with tanker operations.
3. Manage the preparation and execution of cargo documents, including Bill of Lading, Cargo Manifest, and related paperwork for all tanker shipments.
4. Collaborate with vessel operators to ensure that the tanker crew is well-prepared, appropriately trained, and compliant with maritime labour regulations.
5. Monitor and adjust operational schedules to optimize fleet utilization, minimize downtime, and improve operational efficiency.
6. Maintain constant communication with ship owners, charterers, port agents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and troubleshoot any issues promptly.
7. Ensure that port calls are efficiently managed, including berthing, loading/unloading, and departure, and resolve any logistical issues that may arise.
8. Identify potential risks in tanker operations, from environmental concerns to operational inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
9. Ensure the timely procurement and availability of necessary supplies, such as fuel and spare parts, to support the tanker fleet operations.
10. Maintain accurate operational records, including crew certification, vessel maintenance, and compliance documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tanker operations, preferably in a similar role within the maritime industry.
3. Knowledge of tanker operations, industry regulations, and ship management software is highly preferred.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders and provide clear reports and updates.
5. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve operational issues effectively in high-pressure situations.
