As an Operating Theatre Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment, tools, and sterile supplies are ready and in proper working order.

• Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, tools, and supplies during operations.

• Set up and maintain sterile environments to prevent infections and ensure safety during surgeries.

• Monitor and maintain equipment such as anesthesia machines, surgical instruments, and other medical devices throughout procedures.

• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials like surgical waste, sharps, and contaminated items.

• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure all required supplies are available before, during, and after surgery.

• Sterilize and clean equipment and instruments before and after each procedure, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.

Requirements:

• Higher NITEC / Diploma in any Biomedical Engineering related courses.
