This role undertakes a range of administrative and quality assurance activities relating to the development of the oncology pharmacy service including quality improvement, projects, audits and inventory management.
Manage the drug inventory and compounding area
Assist in reviewing the prescribed treatments and promote options to more effectively manage the costs associated with supply
Promote the cost-effective use of medicines through dispensing and supply with minimal wastage, effective use of medicines, ensuring patients, clinics and health funds are correctly charged
Provide service to the Icon Clinics, maintaining the correct inventory levels and stock rotation to comply with the pharmacy audits and national standards
Provide exceptional personalised cancer care to patients and their families
Working with team members in a multidisciplinary setting in dispensary and sterile compounding services for treatment
Work in accordance with the Ministry of Health for Singapore Clinics/Hospitals and Health Science Authority Regulations
Play an active role in any changes that are required in workflows or current practices in order to meet the requirements of the standards
Requirements:
Equivalent Diploma in pharmaceutical science
Relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Experience in a relevant specialist area of pharmacy practice including sterile compounding and handling of antineoplastics
Proven experience using pharmacy and compounding IT systems
