Overview
Element has an opportunity for Office Geologist in Singapore. In this role, you will primarily support soil investigation projects. This involves analyzing geological data, preparing reports, and collaborating with field teams and clients to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
This will be a site-based position in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyze soil samples, borehole logs, and other geological data collected from the field.
- Interpret geological and geotechnical information to assess ground conditions and identify potential hazards.
- Prepare geological models and cross-sections to visualize subsurface conditions.
- Report Preparation:
- Prepare detailed geological and geotechnical reports, including site investigation reports, interpretive reports, and risk assessments.
- Ensure reports are accurate, concise, and comply with industry standards and client requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Project Coordination and Support:
- Collaborate with field teams to plan and coordinate soil investigation activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to field staff on geological matters.
- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and tenders for soil investigation projects.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of geological data and interpretations.
- Implement quality control procedures for soil investigation activities.
- Review and verify field data and reports for compliance with standards.
Skills / Qualifications
- Degree in civil engineering or geology; a certificate in Site Investigation for Supervisors (BCA) is an advantage with 2 years’ relevant experience in major infrastructure projects.
- Working experience in the construction industry.
- Physically fit and able to withstand challenging working conditions.
- Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
