Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Bugis, Downtown Line

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the implementation and support of routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as hands-on experience with network operations. This role involves significant client-facing interactions, making exceptional communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, configure, and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
2. Provide operational support, monitoring and troubleshooting network issues to minimize downtime and maintain high availability.
3. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, deliver tailored solutions, and provide regular updates on project progress.
4. Conduct network assessments, analyze performance data, and implement enhancements for improved efficiency.
5. Ensure network security by configuring firewalls, applying updates, and adhering to best practices.
6. Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps to support ongoing operations and knowledge sharing.
7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT infrastructure components.

Key Requirements:

1. Proven experience in the implementation and operation of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
2. Hands-on expertise with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
3. Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
4. Strong understanding of network security principles and firewall management.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
6. Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working in client environments and delivering tailored network solutions.
2. Familiarity with multiple firewall platforms such as Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or Palo Alto.
3. Knowledge of cloud-based networking solutions is a plus.
4. ITIL knowledge for incident, change, and problem management.
