RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct music lessons to pre-schoolers at EtonHouse centres.
  • Work collaboratively with children, teachers, and the community of EtonHouse to develop fun educational music/movement activities that deepen the learning taking place through class-initiated inquiries.
  • Create a variety of opportunities for children to express themselves and make discoveries using children's songs, lyrics, and movements related to the curriculum as well as performance theme music.
  • Meet regularly with class teachers and the curriculum coordinator to discuss ideas and connections to current inquiries.
  • Maintain a high standard of teaching practice and professionalism.
  • Undertake continued professional development and share the scope of Music Teacher with the school community.
  • Document children's learning, making connections to the curriculum (e.g., portfolio entries, newsletters, community display boards).
  • Manage and develop pre-school resources and materials for the Music programme.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in education with a major in music, or a diploma/degree in music, or Diploma in Music Performance/Speech & Drama.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Added Advantages: Ability to play at least one musical instrument and/or basic qualifications in Early Childhood Education/Preschool Teaching.
