The position requires the candidate to conduct music lessons to pre-schoolers at EtonHouse centres. The ideal candidate would be a person who can also assume a role as a teacher.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with children, teachers, and the community of EtonHouse to develop fun, educational music/movement activities that deepen the learning taking place through class-initiated inquiries.
Create a variety of opportunities for children to express themselves and make discoveries using children's songs, lyrics, and movements related to the curriculum as well as performance theme music.
Meet regularly with class teachers and the curriculum coordinator to discuss ideas and connections to current inquiries.
Maintain a high standard of teaching practice and professionalism.
Undertake continued professional development and share the scope of the Music Teacher role with the school community.
Document children's learning, making connections to the curriculum, for example, portfolio entries, newsletters, and community display boards.
Manage and develop pre-school resources and materials for the Music programme.
Qualifications
Diploma in education with a major in music, or a diploma/degree in music or Diploma in Music Performance/Speech & Drama.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Added Advantages: Ability to play at least one musical instrument and/or basic qualifications in Early Childhood Education/Preschool Teaching.
