About Us

Star Publishing is a leading educational publisher based in Singapore, specialising in textbooks and digital resources for schools in Singapore and the international market. As part of our growing focus on digital learning, we are looking for a motivated and versatile Multimedia Designer with a working knowledge of UI/UX principles to join our in-house design team.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualising and producing high-quality digital assets — including interactive graphics, animations, layouts and visual interfaces — for educational and interactive learning platforms.

You will work closely with editors, developers and illustrators to bring engaging digital learning experiences to life across web, tablet and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce visual assets including interactive illustrations, screen layouts, icons, infographics and multimedia objects

• Create 2D animations, explainer videos, motion graphics and interactive content for primary and secondary school materials

• Assist in designing user interfaces for e-learning tools and applications, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across devices

• Collaborate with curriculum specialists and software developers to bring educational concepts to life through visual storytelling

• Ensure consistency of visual branding and design quality across print-digital crossover products

• Participate in iterative feedback and design refinement processes

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Multimedia Design, Interactive Media, Visual Communication or equivalent

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, XD or Figma)

• Good understanding of UI/UX fundamentals including layout, user flow, interaction and mobile-first design

• A portfolio showcasing multimedia design work and basic UI/UX or interactive projects

• Strong sense of visual composition, motion and user-friendly design

• Ability to manage timelines and deliver accurate, high-quality work independently or as part of a team
