Role Summary
You will be the eyes and ears of the IT system. You ensure the availability and performance of the infrastructures, equipment, software, and processes supporting the data, in order to anticipate anomalies, batch delays, FileSystem problems, etc.
Main Responsibilities
- Batch Job Management - Monitor the end-of-day batch and ensure that it starts on the prescribed time, perform first level analysis if there’s failure, perform recovery and involve other stakeholders when necessary, and do a milestone check of the critical jobs to ensure they complete on time and do the proper escalation if there’s any delay.
- Application System and Infrastructure Monitoring - Constantly monitor alerts from the monitoring tool that indicates whether an application, server, website, service, disk space, or other system resources are having issues and inform the support personnel if necessary.
- Service Requests and User Support - Handle user requests such as running one-time jobs, scheduling new jobs, copying and resending files, troubleshooting transactional problems, and involving other experts if necessary.
- Software Release Support - Support the regular release of new software from development teams by stopping and resuming the batch when necessary and ensuring all systems are available for user sanity testing after release deployment.
- System Patch and Upgrade Support - Support the regular third-party system upgrades and patches while minimizing any disruption.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Support - Be aware of and ready for disaster recovery plans to ensure continuous operation and minimize disruption in case of disaster.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of the requirements of IT production (Banking System).
- Knowledge in UNIX / TWS / SHELL Script / Python / Splunk.
- Ability to work under pressure, rigorous and committed.
- Strong organizational, planning, and service-oriented skills.
Analysis, Development and Evaluation Activities:
- Familiarity with batch processing.
- Deep knowledge of TWS (Tivoli Dynamic Works Console) to create a new plan, and reverse knowledge to scratch a plan analysis.
- Good knowledge of Unix Scripts & Shell Scripting.
- TWS administration experience with its functions to plan, install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot failures.
- Expert in troubleshooting & resolution of problems with the Master Domain Manager.
- Expert in troubleshooting & resolution of problems with FTA Unlinks.
- Expert knowledge in troubleshooting failed jobs and file system full issues.
- Knowledge in ticketing tools Jira & HP Quality Center.
- Proven experience with monitoring and evaluating system performance and performing tuning functions to achieve optimal system efficiency.

- Detecting overlaps and anomalies (financial budgets, financial reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, etc.).
- Segregation of duties - splitting tasks for bookkeeping, deposits, reporting, and auditing.
