Job description

About the Team: The Global Monetization Product and Technology Legal team supports TikTok's innovative and state-of-the-art advertising products. We're growing fast and you'll work on the most exciting legal issues as disruptive technological innovations require creative and proactive legal guidance.

In this role, you would lead legal review and take a collaborative approach to help build leading-edge ad products used around the world. You would support various ad format verticals, various industry verticals, core ads algorithms, various ecommerce ad types, and our ad-buying tools including our automated and AIGC-powered tools. We are seeking a highly experienced, bright, and capable attorney with substantial expertise across ad tech, privacy, consumer protection, AIGC, automation, regulatory engagement, IP, and more.

This is a full-time role based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Own various product verticals, and collaborate closely with worldwide Product and Engineering teams to understand new products and technologies
  • Engage with Product and Engineering from early development stages through product launch and beyond to identify potential legal risks and provide risk-mitigation counseling
  • Support ad tech and data contracting efforts
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues to provide comprehensive product counsel advice
  • Help draft public-facing descriptions of new products and technologies

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified to practice law and in good standing in Singapore, US, UK, or other common law jurisdiction
  • Significant legal experience gained in private practice and/or in-house
  • Familiarity with global legal issues impacting digital advertising including consumer protection, privacy, AIGC, automation, and IP
  • Excellent legal and business judgment, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Detail-oriented and strong work ethic
  • Self-driven and willing to own projects and learn new areas of law and tech

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product counseling experience on AI, AIGC, and automation
  • Product counseling experience on model training and deployment
  • Experience with ad bidding strategies and the ad tech ecosystem
