What the role is:

The MOE Kindergarten Teacher Training Programme offers untrained applicants the opportunity to join the MOE Kindergartens and to give a Strong Start to Every Child. What you will be working on:

If successful, you will attend a full-time Kindergarten Teacher Training Programme and be deployed as MOE Kindergarten (MK) teachers on completion of training. The training programme will provide you with an understanding of how children grow and learn in the early years. We will equip you with the necessary skills to plan and develop activities which are appropriate for the children’s holistic development through an integrated approach to learning. We will enhance your learning with close guidance and coaching, especially during the practicum stint, so as to help you better prepare for your role as an MK teacher.

TO TAKE NOTE:

• Applicants may be required to complete an online video assessment after submission of application, and you will receive an email with the instructions if you are required to complete the assessment.
• Applicants will be required to undergo a compulsory 5-day stint at an MK, if further shortlisted after the interview. Prior to that, applicants will be required to undergo a medical examination, paid for by the Ministry, which may include vaccinations according to regulatory and prevailing guidelines adopted by the pre-school sector.
• Applicants may be required to register and pass the English Language/Mother Tongue Language Entrance Proficiency Test (EL/MTL EPT) before being offered employment.
• When filling up the application form, please select the option for ‘MOE Kindergarten’ under ‘Position applied for‘ field. There could be a delay in the processing of applications submitted under other schemes.
