REPORT TO: Design Director
Key Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in design and execution of hospitality and residential projects spanning Stages 1 to 7.
- Execute design with creative flair and detail.
- Align designs with creative direction established by the Design Director, Project Lead or Senior Designer.
- Design in accordance with project expectations.
- Contribute to the drawing issues sheet, monitoring work and milestones.
- Conceptualise concept images, materials, and initial layout appraisals.
- Produce SketchUp visuals, 2D Photoshop renders, sketches, and images.
- Develop CAD drawings and schedules reflective of design intent.
- Create joinery drawings, details, and elevations consistent with design intent.
- Assist in overseeing mark-ups, attend workshops, and collaborate with suppliers.
- Support in the dressing and installation phase of a project.
- Understand stage deliverables and monthly invoicing.
- Monitor the Document Issue Sheet to ensure timely completion of allocated deliverables.
- Keep key stakeholders informed of progress or any issues.
- Attend key client presentations and take minutes whenever possible.
- Participate in workshops with the wider project team.
- Contribute to team meetings.
- Provide support to more junior team members.
- Initiate tasks and prepare for future assignments independently.

Requirements
- College-level degree required (interior design or related field),
- Successfully delivered projects covering Interior Design, FF&E Design and Procurement, ideally within hospitality or high-end residential.
- Breadth of industry knowledge, trends, events, and design accolades.
- Comprehensive understanding of RIBA Stages (Arch or ID or FF&E).
- Familiarity with suppliers, budgets (FF&E/ID), materials, and samples.
- Astute business and commercial understanding.
- Articulate and refined design ability and style.
- Experience required in:
- Interior design presentation
- Sourcing and documenting FF&E design
- Selection & documentation of interior architectural finishes
- Experience with AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, and hand sketching.
- Revit and 3D Rendering are a plus, but not required.
