Job description

Primary Objective

The Merchandising Administrator is responsible for supporting all business reporting for the Merchandising department, particularly in merchandising and brand marketing functions.

The main focus of the role is on weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and other ad hoc business, merchandising, and management reporting for the assigned regions. The role reports directly to the Merchandising Director with indirect reports to the Merchandising Managers.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Business Reporting
    • Generate, perform, and potentially analyze relevant merchandising/performance ROI reports, which will include weekly, monthly, and annual detailed reports for sales by SKU/brands, stock level monitoring, and identification/monitoring of slow-moving, promotional, and best-selling items.
    • Report on ad-hoc price data summary and survey verification on pricing.
    • Provide additional Global Merchandising support for ad-hoc reporting for SG, HK, and Korea.
  2. Purchase Order & SKU Maintenance
    • Extract system data such as historical sales, stock inventory, on-order, and pricing to prepare buying spreadsheets for Buyers.
    • Upload POs and follow up on vendor shipment delivery status.
    • Upload price data and other information by SKU.
    • Create new merchandise SKUs.
  3. Shipment & Stock Management
    • Communicate with Logistics and Brands regarding shipment PO/stock issues and any discrepancy reporting.
    • Communicate with Operations on stock availability, arrivals, requisitions, and transfers.
    • Prepare distribution lists for new merchandise.
    • Communicate with Operations regarding new merchandise orders.
  4. Additional Duties
    • Perform any other administrative tasks, which may include but are not limited to order processing, creating and maintaining system SKU data, managing non-commercial items, and liaising with the warehouse on shipment status and stock-related matters.
    • Follow up on monthly routines with Brands, such as sales incentives/contests and on-counter GWPs and discount summary updates.
    • Manage timely stock returns to vendors and stock write-off/conversion.
    • Provide GWPs shipping information for warehouse follow-up on SKU tagging.
    • Ensure and communicate agreed promotion mechanics with vendors and Operations.
