Your Scope will include…
A unique opportunity to work closely with the leadership team of Sephora, both globally and regionally. This is an exciting opportunity to join the fastest growing region of a global beauty powerhouse in a high impact role.
- You will provide strategic vision and elevate the Sephora Asia Merchandising Roadmap.
- You will seek out the hottest new brands and categories while elevating existing brands through partnering with the Asia merchandising teams.
- You will oversee the management of “seed projects” to test, learn and launch their growth in support of topline growth strategies.
You will be based in Singapore and travel, at times frequently, across the region and globally as and when required.

Building Merchandising Strategy- Partner with VP Merchandising on the annual merchandising strategy; provide strategic vision with a 3-year perspective and elevate the Asia Merchandising Roadmap.
- Leverage Key Account relationships in Asia to drive negotiations.
- Partner with the merchants in China, South East Asia/Pac, and New Markets to develop comprehensive briefs by utilizing compelling storytelling techniques.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, execute pilot programs, recap learnings and develop recommendations / next steps.
New Business Development- Analyse all elements of the Sephora business (brands, categories, markets) to identify emerging trends and areas of opportunity; deliver key insights to merchandising leadership team.
- Identify under-developed categories within Sephora Asia and articulate proposals for investing in specified categories.
- Build a seed strategy; track category development opportunities across China, South East Asia/Pac and New Markets; report on the areas for seed planting and their progress.
- Evaluate new brands and work with merchants to make new product introductions.
- In collaboration with the VP Merchandising China, prepare for the transition away from animal testing requirement in China.
Regional & Global Collaboration and Planning- Support VP in preparation for and participation in:
- Strategic Planning and Merchandise Budget Plan meetings.
- Merchandising monthly highlights reports.
- Global Merchandising meetings.
- Annual Asia meeting.
- Merchandise operations meetings.
- Prepare and present Trend presentations.

- You utilize your storytelling ability to build and deliver convincing executive presentations.
- You bring experience in retail both on- & offline (omni channel).
- You have experience in beauty the industry and/or a keen passion for beauty.
