Merchandising, Assistant Manager (Luxury Retail)

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing merchandising strategies aligned with brand objectives and market trends.
- Analyze sales data, inventory reports, and market trends to optimize product assortment and stock levels.
- Support the planning and allocation teams to ensure appropriate inventory distribution across stores and online channels.
- Coordinate with the buying team to select, forecast, and procure luxury merchandise that aligns with consumer preferences and brand positioning.
- Monitor sell-through rates and propose markdowns, promotions, or replenishment strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling visual merchandising and promotional campaigns.
- Assist in pricing strategy and margin analysis to maximize profitability.
- Work closely with store teams to gather feedback on customer preferences and product performance.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely product deliveries and quality compliance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior in the luxury retail space.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning, preferably in the luxury retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Understanding of retail financial metrics, sales forecasting, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail.
- Passion for luxury fashion and retail trends.
- Experience with merchandising software and ERP systems is a plus.
