Key Responsibilities:

Space Management

  1. Optimisation of Planograms:
    • Design planograms that align with sales data, customer behaviour, and product trends to maximise shelf productivity and profit.
    • Incorporate financial analysis to prioritise high-margin and high turnover items in premium spaces.
  2. Effective Range Management:
    • Ensure product ranges fit allocated space by continuously monitoring inventory and sales.
    • Maintain alignment with merchandising principles like Good-Better-Best, Own Brand hierarchy, and Customer Decision Tree.
  3. Continuous Improvement:
    • Gather insights on store performance and customer preferences to refine layouts and identify opportunities for innovation.
    • Stay agile in responding to market trends and leadership feedback.

Data Compilation

  1. Data Sources: Compile sales performance, inventory data, product dimensions, and financial metrics.
  2. Analysis: Conduct “Pre vs. Post” bay count comparisons to evaluate the impact of planogram changes.

Policy Adherence

  1. Merchandise Guidelines: Ensure compliance with principles such as:
    • Sub-Category Flow and Customer Decision Tree for intuitive customer navigation.
    • Product Placement based on Days of Supply and Case on Shelf to reduce stockouts.
    • Consistency in product range across clusters for uniform customer experience.

Pricing & Promotion

  1. Strategies:
    • Ensure compliance with pricing policies and regulations.
    • Ensure price survey accuracy.
    • Ensure our pricing is competitive based on the given guideline.
    • Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Data Compilation & Analysis

  1. Coordinate with commercial teams to understand their goals and objectives.
  2. Compile and analyse data from various sources to generate insights on price positioning relative to competitors.

Policy Adherence

  1. Ensure adherence to pricing policies and procedures.
  2. Weekly CPI/KVI report provided by CI team, breaking it down into different categories.
  3. Manage external agencies to deliver accuracy on the price survey for key market items and Festive ranges by having a random market size price check at competitors.
  4. Monitor the various price baskets across all banners according to the timeline required and within our policies and regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Work with internal departments and external suppliers to enhance business performance.
  2. Foster effective working relationships across functions.

Ad Hoc Duties

  1. Generate weekly/daily pricing report for Festive items.
  2. Bi-weekly random market size price check at competitors' stores.

About You

  • Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
  • Administration working experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (e.g. Pivot Table, Vlookup).
  • Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
