MEP Manager (healthcare , Engineering ) REF:VL

The role involves participating in the development team to plan and coordinate with stakeholders, collaborating closely with consultants to ensure that the hospital or entity’s operational requirements align with the Group’s overall strategic direction.

The incumbent will lead technical coordination meetings, stakeholder review sessions, and project alignment processes to establish and implement protocols for the timely delivery of hospital infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to users during the design and planning phases of hospital projects, facilitating productive discussions throughout the design, construction, and post-construction stages.
• Ensure effective cross-coordination with key areas such as medical equipment and facilities maintenance.
• Translate complex M&E technical terms into user-friendly concepts to support informed decision-making and constructive discussions.
• Lead, plan, organize, and coordinate requirements and discussions related to architecture, medical planning, interior design, and MEP systems for the hospital.
• Ensure timely collection of project requirements by liaising with stakeholders, including consultants, employer’s agents, users, and contractors, to meet overall project timelines.
• Capture and address users’ requirements, secure necessary approvals during design stages, and ensure accurate documentation of discussions, milestones, and decisions.
• Support budget planning and control discussions to ensure proposed designs adhere to approved budgets and timelines.
• Administer projects in a structured, compliant manner, aligning processes with cluster and institutional policies.
• Ensure robust, comprehensive documentation and facilitate effective information sharing among project teams.
• Stay updated on healthcare planning trends and best practices to ensure the hospital development aligns with the desired strategic outcomes.
• Undertake secretariat responsibilities to ensure efficient coordination and documentation of meetings and decisions.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned in relation to hospital development projects.
