Medical Technologist [Healthcare, Office Hours 5 days] - Histology/ Respiratory / Microbiology/ Molecular

Job Description:

1. Perform specimen analysis and report results accurately following established procedures.
2. Responsible for recognising deviation from expected results, analysing and correcting problems using scientific principles.
3. Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
4. Assist in quality assurance processes and quality control procedures according to established recommendations.
5. Participate in internal and external quality assurance programmes.
6. Assist in other laboratory areas, including sample reception and sample storage as required.
7. Participate fully in the general housekeeping of the laboratory to maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
8. Monitor inventory and lab supplies in assigned area or department.
9. Train or instruct laboratory personnel in performance of lab tests and procedures where assigned.
10. Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by manager.

Job Requirements:

1. Min BSc in Biomedical Science, BSc in Biotechnology or BSc in a related Science field and/or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in routine haematology, chemistry and urinalysis.
3. Willing to learn, positive attitude and must be a team player.
4. Salary commensurate with experience.
