Medical Physicist (Oncology Centre)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of the Quality Assurance Program including the daily Quality Control checks, commissioning of new QA tools to ensure system performance is always at optimal condition

• Provide optimised treatment plans

• Calculate and provide information on the estimated absorbed dose and dose equivalence of patients undergoing radiological examination. Primarily and professionally engaged in the dose measurement and quality assurance program in the Centre

• Conduct investigations on accidental radiation exposure to staff and patients

• Provide information and explanation to any queries regarding the risk of radiation to patients or staff

• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of all imaging equipment to meet international clinical and safety standards

• Ensure the radiation therapists comply with the standards required of them and observe radiation safety rules

• Provide training on the safe and proper use of radiation protection devices

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Medical Physics or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience

• Prior experience in treatment planning would be an advantage
