The Department of Otolaryngology at our hospital seeks individuals who are enthusiastic, service-oriented, and dedicated. As a Resident Physician, you will contribute to the department by performing clinical service and training. You will be responsible for managing patients under the supervision of specialists.

Job Responsibilities

To perform duties and responsibilities similar to those of a Medical Officer, including calls and rostering.
To assist, guide, and supervise House Officers in their tasks and review new cases as soon as possible after admission.
To write medical reports within specified timeframes, with urgent reports prepared within one week and non-urgent reports within two weeks.
To ensure the accuracy and completion of Hospital Inpatient Discharge Summary Forms and diagnosis & disease indexes on case records.
To assist Senior Medical Staff in running Specialist Outpatient Clinics and obtain prior approval before making significant changes to treatment regimes or discharging long-term patients.
To update relatives on patients' conditions and explain procedures to patients and relatives when designated by Senior Medical Staff.
To sign Death Certificates and obtain consent for autopsy from deceased patients.
To inform Senior Medical Staff of major problems and discharges against medical advice, and counsel patients who wish to be discharged against medical advice.
To participate in departmental teaching activities as directed by the Head of Department.
To perform other medical duties as directed by senior medical staff and cover duties of junior doctors when necessary.
