Medical Coordinating Doctor

About the Employer:

We are partnering with a prominent provider of global medical and emergency healthcare services. Due to expanding operations in Asia, they are seeking a skilled Medical Doctor to be based for their Singapore operations, in a coordinating role.

Position Overview:

The role involves providing clinical leadership and coordinating medical support from a 24-hour centre, overseeing medical evacuations, and patient transport in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receive and assess medically related calls from patients/clients.
2. Offer professional medical consultations and ensure suitability of treatment.
3. Obtain verbal medical reports from treating doctors to assess treatment appropriateness and coordinate transport needs.
4. Oversee medical evacuations and repatriations, assessing necessity and method.
5. Participate in on-call medical rosters, including shift work.
6. Assist with international medical repatriations when necessary.
7. Assist in training new Operations Coordinators and Doctors during induction.

Requirements:

1. Medical Doctor with 5+ years post-graduation experience.
2. Experience in accident & emergency and general practice.
3. International medical and/or healthcare system experience.
4. Fluency in English.
5. An active SMC license is essential.
