Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of a medical centre providing a range of services including GP, executive health screening, and radiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the centre, managing staff, and delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients.

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the medical centre, including management of staff, resources, and facilities.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of healthcare delivery and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Monitor and manage the financial performance of the medical centre, including budgeting, billing, and cost control.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including patients, partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  5. Lead and motivate a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and support staff, to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
  6. Implement and oversee quality assurance programs to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of healthcare services.
  7. Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare providers, including specialists and allied health professionals, to ensure the provision of coordinated and integrated healthcare services.
  8. Participate in strategic planning and business development activities to grow the medical centre and expand its range of services.
  9. For candidates with nursing or other medical qualifications: Perform clinical duties for patients on an ad hoc basis when required.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  1. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of healthcare professionals.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  3. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
  4. Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for healthcare facilities.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex issues and conflicting priorities.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and proactive attitude.

Education and Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, with experience in managing a medical centre or clinic preferred. Diploma holders with strong management experience in the relevant fields will also be considered.
  2. Candidates with nursing qualifications or other clinical experience (e.g., phlebotomy, radiography) will have an added advantage.
  3. Experience in managing a team of healthcare professionals, with a sound understanding of human resource management principles.
  4. Knowledge of medical billing procedures, as well as healthcare CMS/EMR systems and technology.
