Job description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all monitoring systems of the building management facilities are in good operating condition (error-free) and provide feedback on all alarms and errors generated from BMS.
  • Perform scheduling of facilities and building management services to facilitate events and arising requirements.
  • Report and compile daily feedback on building management facilities faults and activities.
  • Operate the plant at the most efficient operating condition and ensure all abnormalities are reported for corrective actions.
  • Validate all facilities & building management maintenance work carried out by contractors and ensure compliance with the prescribed standards.
  • Perform routine building management facilities activities including inventory control, critical systems checks, and functional testing. Respond and take action in response to facilities crisis management activities including power outages, fire alarms, and ACMV outages.
  • Analyze data and identify trends with facility issues to determine root causes and take appropriate action.
  • Respond to BMS alerts, investigate and provide feedback on any outstanding issues or events, and respond to emergency situations while being on standby duty as required.
  • Provide technical support to all aspects of M&E operations including the operation, maintenance, and repair of all mission-critical equipment and systems supporting 24x7 activities to achieve 100% uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs.
  • Assist in all site construction activities and installations, coordinating with external contractors to ensure system design, installation, and testing adhere to operational standards. Witness testing of all equipment during commissioning and validate the sequence of operations and receipt of all operational documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with local workplace safety & health (WSH) standards and local electrical and building codes.
  • Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOP) and emergency response procedures (ERP) established for critical environments, as well as the formal change control process.
  • Participate in the building management maintenance of all significant planned and emergency maintenance events for the facility and ensure these activities are executed in a controlled and proven method to ensure the reliability of the critical loads supported by these systems.
  • Participate in cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

  • Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical electrical and mechanical engineering experience in managing and implementing electrical & mechanical systems for critical building management facilities for telecom, broadcast, or data center buildings.
  • Respect, teamwork, and drive.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Stay contactable 24 x 7.
  • Perform rotation shift duties.
