Mechanical Engineer (CAD /ProE / New Product Development / Sustaining projects)

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products. The Mechanical Engineer also assists in planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives and deadlines in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Design components and assemblies with CAD software.
• Prepare engineering drawings and engineering bill of materials.
• Analyze, design, develop products, and assist in their commercialization.
• Build prototypes, products, and systems required for evaluating design concepts.
• Independently author and execute test plans for prototypes to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.
• Derive engineering conclusions from prototype testing by analyzing test results and simultaneously documenting these results while developing customer presentations.
• Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code, and other artifacts. Contribute to design standards and support design re-use.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across various functions to ensure timely project completion.
• Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Adopt new practices readily to develop innovative and low-cost products.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Material Selection.
• Product Reliability.
• Simulation and Modelling.
• Stress and Strain analysis and analytical calculations.
• Testing.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D design; familiarity with ProE/Creo or similar CAD is preferred.
• Able to visualize and realize a design from conceptual descriptions.
