What You’ll Do

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This role offers the chance to work on exciting projects across different industries and the full product lifecycle—from concept development to manufacturing. You will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of innovative mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the product being design and engineered.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical Design & Development:
   • Designing mechanical systems and components that meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturability standards.
   • Ensuring structural integrity and optimizing performance, with a focus on material selection.
2. Prototyping & Testing:
   • Building prototypes and conducting testing to validate designs.
   • Iterating on designs based on test results to meet performance standards.
3. Analysis & Simulation:
   • Performing simulations and analysis (e.g., FEA, CFD, thermal) to evaluate components and systems under various conditions.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
   • Working with electrical engineers, product managers, and other teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger products.
   • Skilled in communicating technical concepts to clients and effectively presenting work.
5. Documentation & Specifications:
   • Creating detailed technical drawings and specifications.
   • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Manufacturing Support:
   • Collaborating with manufacturing teams for design feasibility and production.
   • Assisting in supplier and material selection, and providing support throughout manufacturing.
7. Continuous Improvement:
   • Identifying opportunities for design optimization and process improvements.
   • Focusing on cost reduction and performance enhancement.
8. Project Management:
   • Managing multiple engineering projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

Requirements:

• Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Working Experience:At least 3 years of relevant experience in product development, particularly in mechanical systems.

Skills:

• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of product design cycles and documentation.
• Experience with product chassis design, assembly, thermal management, and testing.
• Familiarity with fabrication methods (e.g., CNC, sheet metal, injection molding).
• Expertise in engineering drawings, testing, troubleshooting, and using standard equipment.
• Technical Knowledge:Familiar with DFMEA, DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, and cost optimization.
