Job Summary
Senior leadership role accountable for leading and expanding the INR Offshore Rates and SGD Macro franchise. Focus areas include franchise strategy, market leadership, product innovation, risk governance, and mentoring emerging trading talent. The incumbent operates with a high degree of autonomy, strategic foresight, and external market representation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Define and drive the long-term strategy for the INR Offshore and SGD Macro franchises.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Structuring, Research, Strategy, and Senior Management.
- Shape and influence the Bank’s positioning across global trading platforms.
- Champion automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Optimize capital and risk frameworks to deliver superior RoRWA outcomes.
Business- Deliver and exceed P&L targets.
- Strengthen the Bank’s market presence through differentiated liquidity provision.
- Engage strategically with key clients.
- Lead origination of strategic client opportunities.
Processes- Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations. Embed Operational Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process. Ensure that the business meets its obligations for the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations. Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place. Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review them to ensure that they reflect any changes in products, systems, policies and regulations.
- Oversee robustness of internal controls and process resilience.
- Lead proactive risk and operational culture across trading activities.
People & Talent- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from my team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and sharing best practices.
Risk Management- Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them.
- The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
- Comply with guidelines as outlined in the annual dealer mandate.
Governance- Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Willingness to ‘speak up’ in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues.
- Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
