Material Science Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Material Research & Development: Identify, analyse, and develop all advanced materials for sanitary ware and sensor products, such as ceramics, polymers, metals, and composites.
• Performance Optimization: Enhance material properties to improve product durability, water resistance, corrosion resistance, and sustainability.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct laboratory tests to evaluate material performance, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties.
• Process Improvement: Work with manufacturing teams to optimize material processing methods, ensuring cost efficiency and environmental compliance.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Develop eco-friendly materials and contribute to sustainable manufacturing practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure the effective integration of new materials into products.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all materials meet industry standards, safety regulations, and company requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material formulations, test results, and performance analysis.
• Optimize designs to enhance aesthetics while reducing costs through efficient material selection and innovative solutions.
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in materials research, preferably in sanitary ware, sensor technology, or related manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of ceramics, polymers, composites, and metal alloys.
• Experience with material testing methods such as XRD, SEM, FTIR, and mechanical testing.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes like casting, injection molding, sintering, and coating techniques.
• Understanding of sustainability trends and environmental regulations in material science.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical information effectively.
