Our client was established in 2008 and backed by a 100-year-old Japanese corporation, it is situated in Biopolis, heart of Singapore’s biomedical hub. Their mission is to develop the Integrated Organic Optoelectronic for Biosensor Application. To achieve this mission, they are carrying out many concurrent research projects with top research institutions both locally and overseas.

They are transforming clinical research and health management through proprietary technology developed in-house. Their years of research have led to the creation of multiple products, and they are now focused on driving adoption for a connected ecosystem behind their health wearable and a novel urine albumin to creatinine screening medical device. By working with them, you will join a multidisciplinary team of thinkers and doers who come from different backgrounds. Everyone on the team is fully committed to realizing the potential of biosensing technologies to improve human health and wellness. You will report to the Marketing Innovation Manager and be responsible for both assigned as well as self-initiated pilot projects. In the medium term, you will be tasked to assist with commercial planning in alignment with the organization’s business goals which include market research, business model identification and innovation, and risk assessment to create sustainable business relationships with partners. You will also lead commercial assessment, discussions, and evaluations with potential collaborators. Your role will be impactful and diverse.

Job Description:

  • Assist with the identification and sourcing of business opportunities in the field of medical devices and digital health
  • Create and develop a range of materials (e.g. presentation materials, fact sheets) to assist with internal reporting and external engagements
  • Demonstrate product features and function, as well as support external stakeholders (e.g. customers or partners) with their queries and decision-making process
  • Drive Go-To-Market by leveraging the lean start-up methodology
  • Execute comprehensive competitive and commercial market research covering commercial traction, regulatory pathways, business model planning, and execution
  • Initiate and facilitate partner discussions and build a network of trusted partners and KOLs
  • Manage internal and external commercial projects and be responsible for documentation and reporting
  • Develop financial models and be comfortable with financial valuation methods and concepts such as break-even analysis, IRR, DCF, etc.
  • Collaborate with consulting companies to drive project success and accelerate NAT’s goals
  • Contribute to our culture of constant learning and improvement

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Business or its equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in digital health or medical device
  • Track record of successful engagements and negotiations with distributors
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in Japanese Language is an advantage to liaise with stakeholders who speak these languages.
  • IT-savvy
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Fast learner and team player
  • Great time management skills, comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Is comfortable with ambiguity and can thrive independently in a fluid environment
  • Focused on problem-solving and passionate about our products and mission
  • Some degree of international travel will be expected for the role
