Vintage Sports is a well-established distributor in the business of branded footwear and sports apparel, with a strong footprint in Asia Pacific (Singapore and Malaysia). Our purpose is to give people the freedom to go anywhere in the world by being equipped with the right lifestyle brands. Some notable brands that we manage and operate are Teva, Sperry, Caterpillar, UGG, FitFlop and Crocs (MY).

We’re looking for a highly motivated, experienced and versatile marketing manager who is eager to drive sales and growth for our brands. The ideal candidate has experience in developing and executing effective marketing campaigns while managing and inspiring a team. The manager should be equally proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategizing, with the ability to respond quickly to the changing company’s needs and market dynamics.

Objectives of this role

  • Plan, maximise, drive sales and profitability of brands with effective end-to-end marketing strategies and campaigns which align with business objectives, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
  • Report monthly brand performance across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign learnings and go-to-market strategies, complete with proposals and recommendations on effective tactics.
  • Set marketing goals and KPIs, and effectively manage budgets for each brand according to principal guidelines.
  • Manage relationships with brand principals, creative agencies, and vendors to ensure smooth delivery of effective marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand management: Develop and execute positive brand building initiatives that meet business objectives for advertising and communications across all channels (e.g., print, digital, and social media assets).
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly.
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, communicate with stakeholders on marketing strategies and budget overview.
  • Digital marketing and Ecommerce: Develop and oversee digital marketing strategies, specifically social media, EDMs, SEO, and paid advertising to drive online sales. Monitor digital marketing metrics and leverage data-driven insights to refine strategies and achieve marketing objectives.
  • Sales / Product marketing: Work closely with the merchandising team to understand buying, inventory holding, product launch plans, sell-through, and sale numbers for all points of sale for each brand.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to leverage data to plan, direct and implement marketing activities/events/promotions to drive sales.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, retail, or related field.
  • Preferably 5 years of experience in a marketing role, with a focus on brand management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership, project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity and hunger for growth.
  • Ability to embrace a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and metrics will make you a strong candidate.
  • Proficiency with social media strategy, marketing analytics tools, and ability to interpret data to drive marketing decisions.
  • Established contacts in media.
