Focus on performing inspection, calibration, survey and servicing of the equipment onboard ships.
Report defects/poor conditions of equipment, resolving onboard malfunctions, rectification of safety systems, repairs and supply where applicable.
Proper preparation and execution of work assigned, prompt liaison with vessel agencies, and ensure performance is met at all times.
Generate service reports, Job Delivery Notes, and other relevant documents.
Assist our sales department with technical issues.
Our customer service scope includes following:
Lifeboat, rescue boat, davit and release gear inspection and servicing.
Fire Fighting Equipment annual service and inspection.
Liferaft annual inspection.
ODME/OWS/Fixed Gas Detection or Sampling System/UTI/Portable multi-gas detector/pressure gauge/temperature gauge annual calibration and other automation services.
Sample collection for Drug and Alcohol Test, Fresh water or drink water analysis.
Magnetic compass adjustment, Deviation Card issuance.
Gyro overhaul and services.
Various ship flag/class survey, certification, inspections.
Port Agency operation, Marine warranty survey, On/Off hire survey, Delivery and Re-delivery survey.
Requirements:
GCE “O”/ NITEC in relevant fields and above.
Experience as a marine technician/engineer or similar role in a Marine background is a plus.
Meticulous & methodical approach to service jobs and reports generation.
Self-driven attitude to find solutions to problems.
A team player and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge if no prior experience.
