Marine Operations Systems Analyst

This role supports Marine Operations by ensuring smooth and efficient system-based processes, primarily within the IMOS system. The Analyst will troubleshoot system issues, provide training, refine processes, and collaborate with IT to implement system solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Expertise:Own and manage IMOS transactional processes.
  Troubleshoot system errors within IMOS and other relevant systems (Veslink, SEDNA).
  Act as a backup for Voyage Coordinators.
  Manage the delivery/re-delivery process for Time Charter assets.
  Lead system upgrade testing efforts.
  Act as a subject matter expert for Marine F&PA and Freight Services.
  
• Process Improvement:Resolve process gaps and recommend permanent fixes.
  Manage and participate in On-Call Incident Response Duty.
  Enhance relationships with Hub Agents to improve service levels.
  Contribute to continuous improvement projects (e.g., IMOS, SEDNA).
  
• Collaboration:Coordinate with IT and other departments (Marine Chartering, Freight Services, Marine F&PA, Commercial Schedulers).
  Participate in project implementation and system integration.
  

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong systems aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Basic understanding of Commercial and Marine business processes
• System/scenario modeling experience
• Prior experience in Marine Operations
• IT Business Analyst experience
• Proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., RCA, Change Management)
