Oversee day-to-day marine operations, ensuring efficient and safe vessel management.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve fleet performance and cost-efficiency.
Coordinate vessel movements, scheduling, and logistics to meet business objectives.
Liaise with port authorities, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and other relevant maritime regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime laws and industry best practices.
Conduct safety drills, audits, and risk assessments to uphold high safety standards.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate crew changes, recruitment, and performance evaluations in collaboration with HR.
Assist in budgeting and cost control for vessel operations and maintenance.
Monitor fuel consumption and implement measures to enhance fuel efficiency.
Develop and test emergency response plans for various scenarios.
Key Requirements:
Seagoing experience as Master with at least CoC class 1 or 2 combined with at least seven years of shore experience.
Master Mariner (Unlimited) or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC1 or 2) is preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the maritime industry.
Strong knowledge of international maritime laws, flag state regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with stakeholders.
