The Role

The Role

As the Marine Claims Technical Manager Asia, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims, including coverage determination, liability assessment, and quantum analysis within authority limits.

Keyresponsibilities

• End to end management of marine-related claims.
• Accurately establish and review reserves throughout the claims cycle.
• Consistently Interpret policy wording.
• Resolve cases promptly, focusing on customer service, indemnity and expense.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of marine claims experience. They excel in managing claims independently, interpreting policy wordings accurately, and driving timely resolutions. With strong communication skills and essential insurance qualifications (ACII, FCII), they effectively manage stakeholder relationships and ensure high standards of customer service.

Successful Candidate

Essential:

• Insurance qualifications or equivalent (ACII, FCII).
• Maritime-related qualifications.
• 10+ years of marine-related claims handling experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment for claims handling
• Strong communication skills.
• Collaborative team player.
• Demonstrable flexible approach to work.
