Our client is launching a new business and establishing a new factory in Singapore. They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager (EHS) to join as a key start-up member. Comprehensive training will be provided in Japan upon joining the company.

This position will report directly to the COO.

【Responsibilities】

1. Assistant to the Department Head:
   - Formulate and implement improvement plans for the department in collaboration with other departments.
   - Summarize improvements in reports for review.
2. Production Scheduling and Materials Management:
   - Oversee production schedules to ensure efficient resource utilization.
   - Ensure timely ordering and delivery of production materials.
3. Production Monitoring and Reporting:
   - Monitor KPIs related to production output, yield, and quality.
   - Analyze data, identify trends, and address deviations in collaboration with subordinates.
   - Report findings and progress to the department head.
4. Factory Automation:
   - Implement and continuously improve the factory automation plan in collaboration with the Equipment Engineering team.
   - Work towards achieving lights-out automation goals.
5. Production Capacity Improvement:
   - Plan and execute initiatives to improve production capacity.
6. Quality Assurance:
   - Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing processes.
   - Implement measures to minimize defects and rework.
7. Manufacturing Cost Reduction:
   - Develop and implement plans to reduce manufacturing costs.
   - Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and safety standards.
8. Work Environment Improvement (Safety and Hygiene):
   - Enhance workplace safety and hygiene.
   - Create, revise, and enforce work procedures to improve the work environment.
9. Facility Troubleshooting:
   - Collaborate with related departments to resolve facility-related issues promptly.
10. Directing Shift Leaders:
    - Provide clear instructions and guidance to shift leaders.
    - Ensure effective communication of information to subordinates.
11. Emergency Contact:
    - Follow the communication plan to notify important stakeholders during emergencies.

【Requirements & Preferences】
(Must)
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of production/quality assurance experience in a semiconductor or electric/electronics factory.
- Experience in increasing factory production efficiency and lowering costs.
- More than 5 years of managerial experience.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for document preparation.
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems.
- Desirable knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
- Knowledge of chemical regulations (laws, SDS, GHS).
- Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
- Willing to do hands-on work in a start-up phase. (May work in a cleanroom environment)
- Typically works weekdays in a day-shift pattern, with potential holiday work as per supervisory instructions.

(Advantageous)
- Experience in semiconductor backend processing.
