Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer I, Mechanical is responsible for Product Transfer, Production Line Set-up, Definition of Procedures/WI and Documents, Manufacturing First Pass Yield, Failure Analysis, Preventive Maintenance / Calibration processes, Customer Return disposition, Engineering Change and Qualification, Continuous Process Improvement and DFX.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  1. Product Transfer – New or existing products
  2. Production Line Set-up, Line Balancing, Training
  3. Definition of Procedures, WI and Documents.
  4. Achieve Manufacturing First Pass Yield targets
  5. Perform Failure Analysis and implement corrective and/or preventive measures
  6. Ensure execution of Preventive Maintenance / Calibration
  7. Review Customer Return disposition
  8. Manage Engineering Changes, Process Validation and Qualification
  9. Implement Continuous Process Improvement projects
  10. Review product Design for Manufacture, Availability & Quality

What You Bring:

  1. Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
  2. More than 2 years of experience in discrete manufacturing environment, preferably in Life Sciences or Medical Device industries, held accountable for manufacturing yield targets, line stoppage avoidance, etc., for a few product lines at the same time.
  3. More than 2 years of experience involving Mechanical Components (plastic, metal, optics) preferred.
  4. More than 2 years of experience in managing Engineering change requests/orders.
  5. More than 2 years of experience in Bill-Of-Material creation and maintenance.
  6. Experience in New Product Introduction and Product Transfer
  7. Knowledge in ISO 13485 requirements, MDSAP, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, 5S.
  8. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die-casting, machining, anodizing, passivation, plating.
  9. Good understanding of mechanical drawings.
  10. Possesses excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  11. Organization, planning and time management skills.
  12. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  13. Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
