Job Description
Lead a team of engineers to support the daily manufacturing needs. Develop innovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organization’s standards of quality and cost.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze more complex product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepare operation sheets.
- Analyze existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.
- Lead, direct and evaluate a team of Engineers to ensure the organization’s engineering strategy is implemented effectively within established budgets and the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards.
- Lead person for engineering issues and improvement projects with customers.
- Maintain and update ME procedures, instructions and standard work.
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Establish and maintain good safety and housekeeping practices among employees.
- Support and participate in the EH&S programs and activities within the company.
- Report all incidents (injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills etc), hazardous conditions, and emergencies to his/her supervisor.
- Responsible for performing a risk assessment of work activities, taking corrective and preventive actions.
- Comply with EH&S regulations/policies/programs/rules and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in audits and inspections as and when required.
- Attend EH&S training programs and take personal responsibility for safety.
- Understand and carry out work performance in compliance with the UTC Code of Ethics, its Supplements and governing policies and the International Trade Policies and Procedures.
- Support the Continuous Improvement programs and ACE activities within the company.
- Provide a quality product/service that satisfies our customers’ needs and expectations the first time, every time.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum ACE Associate certification under ACP.
Technical Skills:
CAD/CAM, NX, HyperMILL, SolidWorks, Mastercam, AutoCAD, CNC Machining.
