Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision and business plan in alignment with the overall corporate goals and market trends.
  • Drive the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding product lines, and increasing market share in the valves, pipes, and water treatment sectors.
  • Lead high-level strategic discussions with stakeholders, investors, and board members on key projects and major business decisions.
  • Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
  • Provide visionary leadership in the company's expansion and diversification, especially into new markets and regions.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that all departments (sales, production, engineering, quality control, and customer service) are aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement processes, optimizing workflows, resource utilization, and cost management.
  • Ensure that the company adheres to industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, particularly in relation to product quality and safety standards (ISO, ASME, API, etc.).
  • Oversee the production and supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to customers.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring financial performance meets or exceeds corporate targets.
  • Monitor and assess financial performance through regular reports, P&L statements, and forecasts.
  • Make informed decisions regarding capital expenditures, cost control, and financial risk management.
  • Work with finance teams to ensure the company maintains healthy cash flow, financial stability, and profitability.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire senior management and employees to achieve both individual and team goals.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive company culture that emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of key talent to ensure the company attracts and retains top industry professionals.
  • Foster leadership growth across the organization and ensure succession planning is in place for critical positions.

Business Development and Sales:

  • Oversee the business development and sales strategies to secure new contracts and expand customer relationships.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and business partners in the water treatment, valves, and pipes industry.
  • Participate in high-level negotiations with clients, suppliers, and potential partners.
  • Ensure that the sales team has the necessary tools and resources to successfully meet customer demands and achieve revenue targets.

Stakeholder Management and Representation:

  • Act as the company’s key representative in negotiations, conferences, and public engagements within the industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and industry associations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on the company’s progress, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to operations, finance, legal matters, and market fluctuations.
  • Ensure that the company has appropriate risk management policies in place, particularly in relation to environmental and safety regulations in water treatment and valve manufacturing.
  • Lead crisis management efforts when necessary, ensuring business continuity and minimal operational disruption.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
    • An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is highly preferred.
    • Professional certifications in project management, operations, or leadership are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in senior management or executive roles within the valves, pipes, water treatment, or related industrial sectors.
    • Strong background in operations, business development, sales, financial management, and leadership.
    • Proven track record of success in driving growth, managing large teams, and achieving business objectives in the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
    • Experience in managing cross-functional teams across multiple departments (sales, engineering, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a track record of leading high-performance teams.
    • Deep understanding of the valves, pipes, and water treatment industries, including market trends, technologies, and key regulations.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management and budgeting.
    • Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia would be an added advantage.
