Managing Director & Executive Producer

The Heckler Production Department is the engine room of the company.

As the MD and Executive Producer, you will oversee and mentor the entire Production team. You are always driving strategy,

best practice and exceptionally high standards in every piece of work.

Through leading by example and showcasing your breadth of experience, the Executive Producer leads the

Production department in answering the business objectives, and in doing so, makes great work happen.

Production & Client Service

• Work with the Singapore production team to meet monthly targets.
• Contribute in generating new leads and cultivate key client and agency relationships.
• Lead by example in all aspects of the Production process, including but not limited to writing quotations, schedules, budgeting and all other administrative aspects of supervising production.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients and all relevant stakeholders such as Creative teams, Directors, agency staff and all Production teams or vendors.
• Collaborate with Creative teams from the earliest conceptual stage, to ensure the most innovative creative and production are employed and within budget.
• Scope projects (goals, deliverables, schedules, budgets) in consultation with the Creative Director and team.
• Demonstrate strategic vision within all jobs and the broader output of Heckler work.
• Bid and negotiate with vendors for all aspects of TV production, editorial, post-production, music and digital content.
• Lead/mentor junior producers running jobs and help with clear communication and interaction with the client during key milestones.
• Understand and successfully navigate the procurement process for big brands that Heckler is on the roster for.
• Integrate with other Producers on events, CGI, digital, and experiential, consistently demonstrating a high level of knowledge across all mediums.
• Monitor out-of-scope requests via regular internal meetings, advising on solutions where necessary.
• Act as point of escalation for both clients and internal team, mitigating difficult client and project situations professionally.
• Oversee all resourcing requirements and solutions, offering advice and solutions where appropriate.
• Maintain project outputs at high standards by demonstrating a high attention to detail at all times.
• Be passionate about delivering the best, most talked about creative on time and on budget.
• Where necessary, contribute to any strategic plans for the business.
• Fulfill any other duties reasonably requested by the Company.

Finance & Systems

• Oversee financials for the Production team, ensuring all projects have been quoted accurately, signed off by client and PO delivered etc.
• Ensure Production team reconcile jobs correctly and understand all financial processes, to maintain accurate revenue reporting.
• Maintain all Production systems and WIP documents to ensure maximum efficiency and job tracking.
• Complete weekly Timesheets, in a timely and efficient manner.

People & Culture

• Mentor Production team by being approachable, acting as counsel and providing professional guidance where appropriate.
• Champion positive and collaborative ways in which to maintain and improve company culture.

New Business & PR

• Formulate and execute a new business strategy in line with the company vision, and revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain an industry presence for Heckler, championing yourself and the work, by building relationships with relevant industry journalists, business partners, clients and stakeholders.
• Work with the producers to develop Heckler’s director roster for full-service production.
• Help grow Heckler’s direct to client service offering.

Your Qualities

• You will have 10+ years’ demonstrated production experience across multiple platforms, including digital, social and experiential, ideally within the industry.
• Demonstrated ability in formulating and executing business strategies and meeting revenue target.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team, and the needs of all the individuals within a team.
• Advanced technical knowledge particularly in packages such as Ms Excel, Google Suite and Harvest Scheduling System.
• You are a leader, with a collaborative attitude in all that you do, inspiring the best in everyone around you.
• You will naturally have a very high attention to detail and are a skilled multi-tasker.
• An unflappable, effective and confident communicator, you will thrive in a fast-paced studio environment.
• A buttoned down and methodical approach in all that you do, whilst also having the ability to be agile and adapt to ever changing business demands.
