Working Days: 5.5 days

Working Hours: 9 am to 6 pm (Monday to Friday)

Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm

Monthly Salary Ranges: S$10,600 to S$12,500

About the Role:

This position will lead the efforts to connect Korean startups with opportunities in Singapore and Southeast Asia. As the Managing Director, you will be at the forefront of supporting Korean startups in expanding into the dynamic Southeast Asian market. You’ll play a pivotal role in building partnerships, fostering innovation, and creating impactful market access programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategies to support Korean startups entering Singapore and Southeast Asia.
2. Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, including investors, corporations, and government entities.
3. Lead market access programs and establish partnerships within the startup ecosystem.
4. Identify startup growth opportunities and support their scale-up & fundraising journey.
5. Represent the company at key industry events, fostering a strong regional network.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration.
2. Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in venture capital, startups, or innovation ecosystems.
3. Strong ability to lead teams and manage cross-border projects.
4. Deep understanding of the Korean, Singapore, and Southeast Asian startup landscape, including market entry strategies and ecosystem dynamics.
5. Solid experience working with Korean startups and knowledge of the Korean business culture is a strong advantage.
6. Extensive network within the startup, corporate, and investment communities in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
7. Passionate about empowering startups and driving innovation.
8. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including corporations, investors, and government agencies.
9. Experience in designing, implementing, and managing startup acceleration or market access programs.

Preferred Qualifications

1. At least 5 years of experience in a regional or international role involving business development, partnership building, or startup support.
2. Experience working with South Korean government agencies and stakeholders, with a strong understanding of their processes and priorities.
3. Exceptional written and spoken English and Korean communication, as you must communicate with external and internal stakeholders in Korea, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.
